There will be a live auction with Marty Campana, and Nancy Williams of New Bremen will speak on “You Are Priceless.” The cost is $13. • Youngstown Chapter of Embroiderers Guild of America will meet at 10 a.m. and again at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the IOOF Hall in Canfield with Sally Svoboda presiding. Members are encouraged to take the latest edition of their newsletter, and voting will be on revised bylaws. Carole DeWitt will conduct a shadow-work technique project. • Canfield Republican Women’s Club will meet at noon Sept. 9 at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. A presentation of MELP books will be made to area schools as part of the club’s literacy program, Readers Become Leaders. Members are asked to take a book appropriate for children ranging in age from preschool to high school. The books will be donated to a representative of Beatitude House.
