Indictment comes in Howland murder

WARREN — A Hall Street man is indicted by a Trumbull County grand jury on charges of complicity to murder and complicity to aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery in connection with an alleged robbery that led to two men’s deaths.

Oryan L. Miller, 19, could get 15 years to life in prison on the complicity to murder charge and as much as 10 years in prison on each of four other charges if convicted.

Miller was arrested last week on a warrant saying he participated in an armed robbery of an apartment on Sandpiper Trail in Howland Dec. 23 that resulted in the death of Cameron Murray, 21, and Delshawn Scrivens, 25, of Wood Street Southwest.

An affidavit said Michael Ahladis, 24, of Jefferson Street Southwest, told authorities he drove Miller and Scrivens to Murray’s apartment to commit a break-in and returned later to find Scrivens and Miller wounded by gunfire. He said he helped both men get to separate hospitals.

Murray was found by a construction worker dead in the front doorway of his apartment at about 4 p.m.

The apartment is off of East Market Street, just west of Howland High School.

Ahladis faces charges of complicity to murder, two counts of complicity to aggravated burglary and tampering with evidence.
