• American Legion Post 290, state Route 14, Columbiana, kitchen is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. Tonight is wing night; Thursday is Thirsty Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. with 50 cents off all drinks; Friday is fish night from 4 to 7 p.m.; and Saturday is band night from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. with a $5 cover charge. FRIDAY

• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.

SATURDAY

• North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will have a dine-in or carryout barbecued chicken dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include baked potato, green beans, coleslaw or apple sauce, roll, cake and beverage. The price is $8.50 for adults and $4 for children 3 to 10.

• Campbell City Fest Committee will sponsor a chicken and ribs dinner from 4 to 8 p.m. Sept. 12 at the American Legion F.D.R. Post 560, 103 12th St., Campbell. The cost is $12, and meals include potato, baked beans, salad, roll and butter. Refreshments and desserts will be available. The presale of tickets will end Sept. 4.
