Youngstown man treated for stab wounds

YOUNGSTOWN — A city man was treated at St. Elizabeth Health Center for stab wounds that police said he suffered early Saturday in an argument with a female he lives with on Windsor Avenue.

The man, 48, said Rose Agee, 51, stabbed him in the arms, neck, chin and head with a butcher knife in the kitchen of their home at about 2 a.m.

He said the argument was about another woman.

Agee followed him out the front door, where she continued to stab at him through the screened door, he said.

After stabbing him, Agee said she loved him, so she took him to her brother’s house in Struthers, the man said.

When they arrived in Struthers, Agee’s brother called police, and Agee was taken into custody.

Police charged Agee with felonious assault, a second-degree felony punishable by up to eight years in prison upon conviction.

Police said Agee and the victim both appeared to be intoxicated and that the victim’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
