Quarter horse show set at fairgrounds

CANFIELD — The Northern Ohio Quarter Horse Futurity Show, an American Quarter-Horse-approved show, will take place Sept. 26-27 at the Canfield Fairgrounds.

American Quarter Horse shows test horses’ abilities in dozens of classes and feature such events as jumping, reining, barrel racing, cutting, roping and pole bending. Also, halter classes that judge American Quarter Horses based on balance, muscling and breed characteristics take place.

Those who exhibit earn points that turn to awards or cash at the end of the year, and they can qualify for an AQHA World Champion Show, the premiere events in the equine industry.
