Ohio teen jailed after gun falls out of pants

MASSILLON, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio teen who accidentally crashed his bike into a stopped truck ended up in juvenile detention after a gun fell out of his pants.

Police say the 17-year-old boy hit the truck Friday in Massillon in Northeast Ohio when the truck stopped in traffic.

After the accident, an unloaded gun fell out of his pants and was grabbed by a bystander, who held it until police arrived.

The boy also had a pair of brass knuckles and what appeared to be marijuana, police detective Ken Hendricks said.

The boy was charged with a juvenile felony count of carrying a concealed weapon and misdemeanors counts of carrying a concealed weapon and marijuana possession.

He was taken to the Multi-County Juvenile Attention Center in Canton Township.
