Mass, luncheon mark Weidners’ 50th anniversary

HUBBARD — St. Patrick Church was the setting at 11 a.m. Aug. 8 for a Mass honoring Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Weidner, 1846 John White Road, as they observed their 50th wedding anniversary.

Invited guests joined the couple for a luncheon immediately after the ceremony.

The couple’s children are Michael (Debi) Weidner of Hubbard, Angela (William) Walsh of Hubbard, William (Dot) Weidner of Prosperity, S.C., and Anthony Weidner of Mechanicsville, Md. There are also 10 gradnchildren and four great-grandchildren in the family.

Mr. Weidner and the former Annette Piesto were united in marriage on July 25, 1959, at St. Anthony Church.

Mrs. Weidner is a bakery clerk at Giant Eagle in Liberty. Mr. Weidner served with the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1961. He retired in 2000 from General Motors in Lordstown, where he was employed in maintenance.

The couple are members of POPP Boosters and St. Patrick Church.
