Married: Frank Monroe on Oct. 6, 1928.
Children: Two sons, Stanley Monroe and James Monroe; both are deceased.
Family includes: 9 grandchildren, Stanley, Marvin, Diane, Wanda Kay, Evelyn, Doris, Molly, James Jr. and Joey; 19 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Affiliations: Member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Youngstown.
Activities: She enjoys singing and telling stories about her days in the South picking cotton and planting in the fields, and how to make moonshine. Although blind, she still loves dancing.
Hobbies: Enjoyed cooking everything from scratch and is said to have made the best banana pudding in the world.
Celebration: A birthday party in her honor took place Saturday at Humility House.
