Cercone 50th is celebrated at two events

YOUNGSTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Cercone of Youngstown were honored at two events as they observed their 50th wedding anniversary.

On Aug. 7 they were the guests of honor at a family dinner at Caff Capri in Boardman, and on Aug. 8 friends and family joined the couple for a celebration at the Upstairs Restaurant in Austintown.

Hosts for the gatherings were their children and their spouses, Cindy and Bill Stout and Mary Ann and John Stevens, all of Columbus, and Leonard Jr. and Susan Cercone of Ann Arbor, Mich. Also participating were their grandchildren, Cayla, Shannon, Erika, Lenny, Michael, Brendan, Anthony, Andrew and Corey.

The former Jo Ann Rizzo and Mr. Cercone were united in marriage on Sept. 5, 1959, at St. Brendan Church, where they are members.

Mr. Cercone served with the U.S. Army. He retired from LTV Steel in 1984 and from Mahoning Valley Sanitary District in 1996. Mrs. Cercone is a homemaker.
