WEDNESDAY

• American Legion Post 290, state Route 14, Columbiana, kitchen is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. Tonight is wing night, Thursday is chicken or steak salad night, Friday is fish night, and Tuesday is taco salad night. Takeouts are available. For more information call (330) 482-9657.

THURSDAY

• Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will have a drive-through homemade chicken dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. (or until sold out). Dinners include backed stuffed chicken, baked potato, green beans and a brownie. The cost is $6. Drive up to the door and a volunteer will bring the meal to your car.

• Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

• VFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners with meatballs, salad, bread, and coffee or tea from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Carryouts are $6.25.

FRIDAY

• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.

• St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling (330) 746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m.

SATURDAY

• Deerfield American Legion, 1517 state Route 14, will serve a breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. at the post home. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children, and the menu consists of pancakes, sausage, eggs, sausage gravy over biscuits and a beverage. Proceeds will benefit the American Legion scholarship fund.

• Southington American Legion Post 751 will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at the post, 3145 Warren-Burton Road. Meals include french fries, green beans, coleslaw, beverages and dessert. The cost is $7.50 for adults and $5.50 for children from 5 to 12.

SUNDAY

• Auxiliary of VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve breakfasts of eggs, sausage or ham, hash browns, pancakes, freedom toast, toast, and coffee or tea from 8 a.m. to noon. Meals are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

• Capt. Charles M. Marino Post 3, Italian-American War Veterans, 113 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, will serve spaghetti dinners from noon to 5 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children 6 to 10. Those 5 and under may eat for free. Carryouts also will be available; containers can be purchased or patrons may provide their own.

• K. of C. 3930 Monsignor Mears Council will have a steak fry from noon to 5 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Blvd. Cost is $11.95 for strip steak and $6.95 for chopped steak, and meals will include baked potato, corn on the cob, salad, bread, dessert and drink. A kid’s meal for $4.95 will include chicken fingers and fries. There will also be a small Chinese auction and a 50-50 drawing and door prizes.

• St. James Episcopal Church, 7640 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, will sponsor a St. Rocco cavatelli and meatball dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The all-you-can-eat meals will include tossed salad, homemade bread, dessert and beverage. Takeouts will be available. Cost is $7 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 11, and free for those 5 and under.

TAKING ORDERS

UPCOMING

• Campbell City Fest Committee will sponsor a chicken and ribs dinner from 4 to 8 p.m. Sept. 12 at the American Legion F.D.R. Post 560 hall, 103 12th St., Campbell. The cost is $12, and meals include potato, baked beans, salad, roll and butter. Refreshments and desserts will be available. The presale of tickets will end Sept. 4. • Cortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St., will have a drive-through dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Aug. 19. Place orders on the north side of the church and pick it up on the south side. Meals include stuffed chicken breast, gravy, baked potato with sour cream, green beans and a brownie. The cost is $6.
