BOARDMAN — St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park was the setting at 5 p.m. Oct. 10, 2008, as nuptial vows were exchanged by Roberta Lynn Gillespie, 2024 Overland Ave., Warren, and Ronald Rizzo, 4543 Tippecanoe Road, Canfield.

Pastor Bret D. Rizzo officiated at the ceremony.

The couple accepted congratulations during a reception at The Embassy before leaving for a honeymoon in Europe.

They live at the groom’s address.

The bride is a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Laurel Markle. She served with the U.S. Army Reserve and is a server at the Olive Garden in Niles.

The groom’s parents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Rizzo. He served with the U.S. Army and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a degree in finance. He is a sanitary engineer with Atom-Matic in Niles.

Embroidery enhanced the bride’s strapless champagne mermaid-style gown. It featured an empire waist and a sweep train.

The bride’s sister and honor attendant, Patricia Ciferno, wore a black gown with champagne accents, as did the bridesmaids, Mollie Keevey, Lisa Oleskey and Stacey Ciminero.

Don Fleck performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Ron Kay, Ron Rowe, and the bride’s cousin, Paul Markle. Ushers were Ryan S. Cutlip, the bride’s nephew, and Max Fleck.
