No consensus reached on Youngstown BOE replacement

YOUNGSTOWN — City school board members were unable to reach a consensus tonight on who should replace member Shelley Murray who resigned two weeks ago.

A total of 13 people applied for the appointment and three of them were called in for interviews immediately before tonight’s board meeting, but the board couldn’t decide on a candidate.

The meeting was recessed until 4:30 p.m. next Tuesday when the board will try again to name a new member.
