Murder suspect killed in police shootout

DETROIT (AP) — Police say Toledo, Ohio, police shot and killed a murder suspect from Detroit.

Detroit police say 21-year-old Devon Woods fired at officers Sunday in Toledo after threatening two women with a handgun.

Police say Toledo officers returned fire, killing Woods.

Woods was wanted in the June 8 shooting death of his ex-girlfriend, 21-year-old Candice Campbell.

Police say he was charged with first-degree murder and other counts.
