Hubbard Township police probe shooting death of 15-year-old boy

HUBBARD — The Hubbard Township Polce Department is investigating the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy.

Trumbull County 911 said the call about a shooting at 1628 State Line Road came in at 2:46 a.m. Monday from one of Robert Flynn’s companions.

The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. Early Monday night, his condition was reported as critical by a nursing supervisor.

By 10:30 p.m., however, the supervisor confirmed the boy’s death.

Several juveniles are being questioned along with the homeowner and his girlfriend, according to a news release from township police.

Police said they are piecing together what led to the shooting.

Several weapons and spent casings have been removed from the area where the shooting is believed to have taken place, the news release stated.

A vehicle also has been impounded for processing.

No charges have been filed as police continue to investigate.

Police Chief Todd Coonce could not be reached.
