YOUNGSTOWN — Golfers are invited to participate in a golf outing scheduled by Wolves Club Den VI of Youngstown for Aug. 31 at Oak Tree Country Club in West Middlesex, Pa.
The day’s event will begin at 11:30 a.m. with lunch and registration. There will be a shotgun start at 12:45 p.m. for golfers taking part in the two-best-ball-of-four shamble.
The entry fee is $160 per golfer and includes lunch, a buffet Italian dinner and open bar, golf gifts and prizes.
Hole sponsorships are available for $125 a hole, and a $700 Wolves Sponsorship includes admission for four golfers and a hole sponsorship. Local businesses and individuals interested in participating can call the event chairman, Mike Dercoli, at (330) 729-2630 for additional information.
The golf outing is the club’s major source of funds for scholarships, which are awarded annually to promote higher education for youth of the community who attend Youngstown State University.
During the past year the club awarded $40,000 in YSU scholarships to students and contributed an additional $4,000 to St. Elizabeth Health Center School of Nursing.
All donations to the Wolves Club scholarship program should be made payable to Wolves Scholarship and Charitable Trust and mailed to Butler Wick at 8286 South Ave., Youngstown, OH 44512.
