Students raise funds for Animal Charities

YOUNGSTOWN — Students enrolled in the public relations class at Youngstown State University sponsored a rock concert Aug. 4 at Salty Grog’s in Boardman as a benefit for Animal Charities of Ohio.

The “Pawz Fest 2009” raised $4,253.60 to benefit neglected animals in the valley.

The bands Away From Eden, Regret No Glory and Ryan Ross contributed their time and talent, and area businesses and community provided support to make the event a success.
