“Monk” (9 p.m., USA): Break out the hand sanitizer. Our favorite obsessive-compulsive detective returns for his eighth and final season this week, and we’re expecting a good one. The opener finds our hero (three-time Emmy winner Tony Shalhoub) playing bodyguard to a former child star who is receiving death threats. Producers promise that, before the season winds down, we’ll be treated to the return of Monk’s beloved nurse, Sharona (Bitty Schram), and we’ll finally get some resolution regarding the investigation into the murder of Monk’s wife, Trudy. “Monk” precedes the season opener of “Psych.”
