Safe Harbor Race scheduled in park

YOUNGSTOWN — Mill Creek Park will be the setting Aug. 23 for a 5K solidarity run to benefit the war-affected youth of Gulu, Uganda.The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. from the Wick Recreation area.

The preregistration fee is $12, and on race day registration is $15, free with $50 in pledges.

Early packet pickup will be at Second Sole, U.S.Route 224, Boardman, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 22, and at Morley Pavilion stage from 7:15 to 8 a.m. race day.
