Man sentenced on sex charges
PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Calvin Lee Dye, 37, of Plainsville Warren Road, Southington, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison following his conviction of violating federal child exploitation laws.
Assistant United States Attorney Craig W. Haller said Dye used a computer with an internet connection to induce and entice a minor into engaging in illegal sexual conduct, and then traveled across a state line for the purpose of engaging in illicit sexual conduct with that minor.
Dye was sentenced Thursday by Senior United States District Judge Alan N. Bloch, who directed that Dye be placed on 10 years’ parole following his release from prison and pay a $200 special assessment.
