TONIGHT

The Italian festivals just keep on coming. Musical acts Oro Puro, the Gaylords, Moreno Fruzzetti and more will provide entertainment. The festival also will have morra and boccie tournaments, a wine competition, Miss Italian Pageant, food and — of course — fireworks. Call (330) 507-3567 for ticket information.

FRIDAY

The Youngstown Playhouse and Salem Community Theatre are finishing up their seasons, while the Oakland Center for the Arts is starting the next one with “The Great American Trailer Park Musical,” which opens Friday. “Trailer Park” has all the earmarks of the memorably off-kilter productions for which the Oakland has become known. It will be presented at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the theater, 220 W. Boardman St., downtown Youngstown. Call (330) 746-0404 for reservations.

Salem is presenting Stephen Sondheim’s much-praised “Into the Woods,” which deconstructs several fairy tales and rearranges them into morality plays. “Into the Woods” will be performed at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Salem Community Theatre is at 490 E. State St. Call (330) 332-9688.

This weekend is the final one for the Playhouse’s “Blues in the Night,” a musical revue centered around three women at different stages of life. “Blues” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. The Playhouse is off Glenwood Avenue. Call (330) 788-8739.

Seven Nations is not some St. Patrick’s Day, green-beer bar act. The rock’n’rolling quartet veers from roots and folk to dance and fusion-rock, but always with a pipe, fiddle — and that Irish sense of wonder. The name refers to the seven original Celtic nations of Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, Galecia, Isle of Man and Brittany. You learn something new every day. Seven Nations was born in New York in 1994 and has been touring the world full time ever since. It makes a stop at O’Donold’s Irish Pub in Austintown on Friday night. The Shaffer Brothers make a fitting opener for the 9 p.m. show. O’Donold’s is in Austintown Plaza, 6000 Mahoning Ave. Call (330) 270-2800.

Cafe Cimmento’s annual street festival begins after work Friday in front of the restaurant at 120 E. Boardman St., downtown Youngstown. Geo and Tha Storm, Bustin Loose and DJ C-Money provide the music. Call (330) 740-0166.
