Friday delays possible on Mahoning Avenue bridge over Route 11

AUSTINTOWN — Motorists using the Mahoning Avenue bridge over state Route 11 in the township may face some delays.

From 1 to 5 a.m. Friday the bridge will be reduced to one lane with traffic maintained by flaggers for bridge reconstruction.

Motorists can use Mahoning Avenue to state Route 46 to Norquest Boulevard to avoid the area.

This work is part of a $7 million project to re-deck and paint bridges over Route 11 at Mahoning Avenue and Western Reserve, Kirk and New roads. The entire project is scheduled for completion by late August 2009.
