YOUNGSTOWN — A fight on the city’s South Side left a man and his daughter bloody and beaten and sent four men to Mahoning County jail on felony charges.

The four men charged appeared Tuesday morning before Judge Elizabeth Kobly of Youngstown Municipal Court.

William Santiago, 18, of Blackburn Street, Campbell, is charged with two counts of felonious assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is in jail on a $102,500 bond.

Brad Clinton, 19, of Matta Avenue, is charged with two counts of felonious assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is locked up on a $100,000 bond.

Randy Flores, 21, of South Garland Avenue, is charged with resisting arrest, trafficking in drugs, two counts of felonious assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is jailed on a $105,000 bond.

John Gentile, 20, of Douglas Drive, Campbell, is charged with resisting arrest, two counts of felonious assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is in the lockup on a $100,000 bond.

According to police, officers were called to East Glenaven for a fight Sunday morning and found a 59-year-old Glenaven man and his 27-year-old daughter, of the same Glenaven address, beaten and bruised.

Police saw a Ford Explorer attempt to speed away with spectators screaming for police to stop the sport-utility vehicle because it contained the men responsible for the beating. There were six people inside the SUV.

Reports say officers stopped the SUV a short distance away and noticed the front passenger drop a bag out of the window into a nearby field. Police later found the bag to contain a scale with suspected marijuana residue and a large package of suspected marijuana. Police also found empty small plastic bags and $1,000 in the SUV.

Police took statements from the victims and determined that Gentile punched a woman in the face after an argument on Glenaven. When the woman’s father and sister came to her assistance, reports say, they were attacked and beaten by the man and his three associates.

All four men, along with a juvenile and woman, both of whom were not arrested, ran to the SUV when police arrived on the scene.

Police determined that the drugs and scale belonged to Flores, leading to the drug charges against him.
