Youngstown police looking for man who shot at occupied vehicle

YOUNGSTOWN — City police are still looking for the person who shot into a occupied vehicle hitting one man earlier this week.

According to police, a 23-year-old Wilbur Avenue man was shot in the shoulder as he and a friend drove along the 200 block of Hilton Avenue on the South Side on Sunday morning.

Police said a window in the gold Buick driven by the man’s 25-year-old friend was shot out by the driver of another car driving in the opposite direction along Hilton. The bullet hit the passenger in the shoulder.

The man was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment. Reports say neither man wanted to assist in the police investigation.
