LOWELLVILLE — Lowellville Day will be celebrated Saturday with activities centered in the gazebo area of downtown. A parade will start the event at 2 p.m. and proceed along Wood Street to downtown. A welcoming ceremony will be at 3:30.
The Mount Carmel Band will play from 4:30 to 6, disk jockey Mike Romeo will play music from 6 to 7:30, and Thanx will perform from 8 to 11. There also will be food vendors from local churches and businesses.

Antique tractor show
BAZETTA — The Antique Tractor Club of Trumbull County is having its 15th Annual Antique Tractor Show from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 15-16 at Ali-Baba Grotto hall on Perkins-Jones Road, just off the state Route 5 Bypass.
John Deere is the featured tractor and equipment for the show, which will include a tractor rodeo both days, displays, antique cars and trucks, parades and food. Events include a garden tractor pull, and an antique tractor pull. Kids are welcome to bring their pedal tractors and participate in their own show, parades and pulls. A square dance will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 16. Admission is $3 for adults, free to children under 12. For information, call Joe Toth, (330) 240-6407.
Donations accepted
YOUNGSTOWN— Beatitude House charity will accept donations of clothing, school supplies and gift certificates to help the area’s homeless and low-income children Monday at its administrative office, 238 Tod Lane, on the ground floor of St. Edwards parish. The charity is accepting new and used school uniforms, shoes, new socks and underwear and gift certificates for uniform and backpack purchase. Community picnic
YOUNGSTOWN — Seventh Ward Citizens Coalition is sponsoring an community picnic from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Lynn Park. Bring a casserole to share and a lawn chair. There will be three-legged races, boccie, horseshoes and checkers tournaments and more. Hamburgers, hot dogs, fixings and place settings will be provided. Police seek robbers
YOUNGSTOWN — Police continue looking for two men who robbed a delivery driver at gunpoint. According to police, the driver for Main Moon restaurant on Belmont Avenue was robbed at 11:30 p.m. Friday while making a delivery to a home in the 1900 block of Elm Street on the North Side. The thieves took a cell phone, handgun and more than $300 in cash.
The driver told police the thieves also damaged his car trying to remove a CD player from the dashboard.
Pet extravaganza
HERMITAGE, Pa. — Club Pet Adoption, an animal rescue organization, and the Shenango Valley Mall will sponsor a pet extravaganza during mall hours from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at the mall, 3303 E. State St.
Saturday activities will include a pet Picasso (dog artwork) from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and pet parade fashion show at 6. Other weekend activities will be pet seminars, kids’ crafts and Chinese auction. Those attending who donate a bag of dog food will get a coupon pack.
Pleas entered in cases
WARREN — Innocent pleas were entered in Warren Municipal Court for Shedrick Brogdon, 19, of Hamilton Street Southwest, who police believe participated in one of the 16 armed robberies committed in Warren last month.
Brogdon is charged with aggravated robbery in last Tuesday’s robbery of Ianazone’s Pizza on Southern Boulevard Northwest.
Brogdon is also charged with aggravated burglary in a break-in at 11 p.m. July 24 in which Brogdon and another man are accused of carrying guns and kicking in an apartment door on Fifth Street Southwest while two people were inside. Nothing was taken.
Brogdon is in Trumbull County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bond. If convicted, Brogdon could spend more than 20 years in prison.
