Community college arrangement benefits Forum and Valley, CEO says

YOUNGSTOWN — Arranging for the new Eastern Gateway Community College to rent space in Forum Health’s Northside Medical Center is “a beneficial partnership on many levels,” according to Walter “Buzz” Pishkur, Forum Health’s president and CEO.

The community college, which begins offering classes this fall, will have its headquarters in Forum’s Health Education Building on Gypsy Lane and will offer one information technology class and accompanying lab there this fall.

Other classes will be offered at locations in Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana and Jefferson counties.

Pishkur said the arrangement will benefit Forum employees and the entire Mahoning Valley community while enhancing Northside’s reputation as an educational institution.
