The average temperature for the month was the second lowest for a July for the Mahoning Valley in its recorded weather history, which dates to 1897.
The average temperature last month was 67.4 degrees, 2.5 degrees lower than normal. The July with the lowest average temperature for the Valley was in 2000 with 67 degrees.
There was not a day in July in which the temperature hit 90 degrees.
There were only three days in which the temperature reached at least 85 degrees last month.
There were 20 days in July in which the temperature dropped to at least 50 degrees.
