AAA: Ohio gas up 2 cents a gallon from last week
COLUMBUS (AP) — Ohio gasoline prices are up 2 cents from last Monday after a mostly uncertain week on energy markets.
Oil prices seesawed before surging Thursday and Friday as investors bet that demand for crude will pick up as the economy improves.
A survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express puts Ohio’s average for regular-grade gas at $2.48 per gallon, up from $2.46 one week ago.
Ohio gas is still 10 cents a gallon cheaper than last month, and it costs about $1.22 per gallon less than it did last year at this time.
