Loney anniversary is observed at Mass and parties

YOUNGSTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Tom Loney, 2251 Burma Drive, were honored at several events as they celebrated the 50th anniversary of their wedding.
On July 18 they attended Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, where Monsignor John Zuraw presented them with a papal blessing. Afterward they were feted at a family dinner.
The Boardman home of a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Loney and Mark Biroschak, was the setting on Aug. 1. for a party in their honor.
In addition to the Biroschaks, hosts were their other children and their spouses, Mike Loney of Boardman; Katie Darby of Austintown; Tom and Colleen Loney of Noblesville, Ind.; and Marty and Lisa Loney of Boardman.
Mrs. Loney, the former Peggy Murphy, retired in 1999 as a deputy clerk from Youngstown Municipal Court.
Mr. Loney is a life member of Local 396 Plumbers and Pipefitters. He retired in 2000 from Youngstown Board of Education.
The couple are members of Immaculate Conception Church. They were married July 18, 1959. at St. Dominic Church.
