1418 AUXILIARY

• 1418 Auxiliary Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Byzantine Center, 3801 Shady Run Road. John Texter will preside. Cancellations must be made by Monday to Kay Shabella at (330) 755-0459. Any call after that date will not be accepted. Birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged. Cards and bingo will be played. AARP 3104

• Canfield Chapter 3104, AARP, will have a picnic at 1 p.m. Monday at Canfield Presbyterian Church. Members whose last names begin with A-H are asked to take a salad, and those I-Z, a casserole. Also take a table service and serving utensils. Enter the church at the East side. The directors will meet at 10 a.m. Aug. 17 at the church.

Reservations are being accepted at (330) 332-4791 for the 4 day/3 night trip Sept. 22-25 to Mackinac Island and Frankenmuth. Reservations are also available for the Nov. 12-13 trip to Lancaster, Pa., to see “The Miracle of Christmas” and “Voices of Christmas,” and for the Dec. 6 trip to Pittsburgh for the Radio City Rockettes Christmas show.

AJAX MAGNETHERMIC

• Retirees of Ajax Magnethermic will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday for a picnic at the home of Jim Moore, 1552 Walker Mill Road, Poland. Wives and guests are welcome.

CORNERSBURG

• Cornersburg Happy Seniors will meet at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield, with Betsy Koneval presiding. The cost for the dinner is $10. Bingo will be played. GIRARD

• Girard Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the center, 16 N. State St. The progam will be a sing-along. Reservations are due by Aug. 12 for the annual corn roast on Aug. 19. The cost is $5. Canned goods is being collected from the Emmanuel Center.

LOWELLVILLE

• Lowellville Senior Citizens will meet at noon Friday at the conference room in City Hall with Delores Romeo presiding. Reservations are to be made with Janet Davanzo at (330) 793-3176 for the picnic lunch to be provided by Phyllis Nolfi of Gianno Catering. Birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged and bingo played. Donations of non-perishable items will be accepted for baskets for shut-in members. MARTHA LUPSE

• Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Lurana Cowher will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. No affiliation with the church is required for participation. • St. Nicholas Senior Citizens will have a luncheon meeting at 11 a.m. Aug. 11 at the Great Hall with Laverne Cox presiding. ST. CHRISTINE

• St. Christine Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the parish center. President Ruth Infante will preside. Reports will be given by Mary Jo Theis and Carol McClain. August birthdays will be observed. The lunch committee members are Rosemary Cervone, Virginia Bestic, Mary Rita Durkin and Helen Greiner. There will be attendance prizes, a 50-50 raffle and cards and bingo will be played.

• Steelworkers Retirees, Local 1339 and 1331, will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at the Italian-American Veterans Centre, 113 S. Meridian Road. Refreshments will be served. New members are welcome. There will be no September meeting.
