Police arrest second suspect in Pittsburgh kidnapping and assault
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh police have made a second arrest for the July 18 kidnapping, robbery and stabbing of a former director of the city’s housing authority.
Police say 34-year-old Terence Maurice Mair of Wilkinsburg was arrested Friday afternoon at his lawyer’s office. He is charged with burglary, kidnapping, criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, robbery and robbery of a motor vehicle.
Police say Mair is one of two men who broke into Stanley Lowe’s house, drove him to an automated-teller machine and forced him to withdraw money. Police say the men chased and stabbed Lowe when he tried to run away. Lowe was hospitalized for three days after the attack.
