Man held in robbery of delivery driver
STAFF REPORT
WARREN — A 49-year-old Perkinswood Boulevard Southeast man is charged with aggravated robbery in the robbery of a pizza-delivery driver of cash and three pizzas Wednesday night in the 1100 block of Perkinswood.
An innocent plea was entered for Kevin D. Rush when he was arraigned Friday in Warren Municipal Court. He is being held in Trumbull County Jail without eligibility to make bond.
Rush will return to court at 10:15 a.m. Thursday before Judge Terry Ivanchak.
Police said they used the assistance of police dog Ziggo to find Rush in the upstairs of his house after Rush allegedly robbed a Pizza Hut delivery driver near Rush’s house — with a BB rifle.
Rush was treated at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital and released to police for injuries he suffered during the arrest, which included being stunned with a Taser device twice when he refused to come out of the closet, police said.
