LOCAL TOPICS ON TV Sunday program


“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m., WFMJ-TV 21): St. Andrewes AME Church, Youngstown’s first black congregation, will celebrate its 140th anniversary. Rev. Steven Jackson and Tuana Bennett Vinson of the church will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the celebration and how the community can participate.

CityScape is a grass-roots organization dedicated to revitalizing downtown Youngstown and its gateways through landscaping. Sharon Letson, executive director of CityScape, will talk about how the community can get involved.

Next, Jack Dixey of the Canfield Heritage Foundation will discuss the Loghurst Music Festival and the “Five Bands for Five Bucks” fundraiser for the museum. One of the bands, Magma, composed of three 12-year-olds, will perform.

Finally, Judge Theresa Dellick will share information about the first Juvenile Court Summit on Tuesday in Youngstown. The summit will educate on the purpose of the juvenile court and why it is needed
