Award-winning works of women artists now exhibited at Trumbull art gallery

The YWCA of Youngstown’s 27th annual Women Artists: A Celebration art show is now open for public viewing through July 26 at the Trumbull Branch of The Butler Institute of American Art, 9350 East Market Street, Howland, Ohio.
The show, which recognizes the talent and creativity of women artists, features paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, ceramics, textiles and metal works. Serving as juror for the show was Kimberly Koller-Jones, executive director of the Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts in New Castle, Pa.
During a patron’s party held in conjunction with the show, awards were presented to the following artists:
• Rochelle N. Krok of Warren, Women’s Art Committee Award.
• Karen St. John-Vincent of Westlake, Suzanne Anzellotti-Ray Award.
• Merle Bouffard of Poland, Margaret Evans Memorial Award.
• Janice M. Reash of Bay Village, Eileen Scragg Memorial Award.
• Erma E. Eaton of Salem, Watercolor Award.
• Mary Kay D’lsa of Youngstown, Watermedia Award, Mahoning Valley Watercolor Society.
• Jo Ann Buzulencia of North Jackson, YWCA Award.
• Nancy A. Hawkins of Columbiana, Artists of Mahoning Commons Award.
• Gail Trunick of Burghill, Coy Cornelius Memorial Award.
• Carrie Adams Smith of Peninsula, Florence L. Gordon Memorial Pottery and Ceramic Sculpture Award.
Recipients of cash awards were:

• Nan Buchanan of Poland.
• Maryanne Caleris of Struthers.
• Jamie M. Jamison of Canfield.
• Marianne Whitehouse of Youngstown,
