‘Seinfeld’ cast to reunite on ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’

PASADENA, Calif. — Larry David says the on-screen reunion of the “Seinfeld” cast will be “tough to beat.”

The “Seinfeld” co-creator and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” creator-star says the cast will appear together in the finale of the upcoming seventh season of the HBO comedy series.

It marks the first time in 11 years that Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards have appeared together on screen.

David says the “Seinfeld” stars will appear in five “Curb” episodes during the season in a storyline about the cast reuniting. He says he worked closely with Seinfeld on the show-within-a-show script.

He also says an actual “Seinfeld” reunion is unlikely.

The comments were made at a meeting of the Television Critics Association.

MC Hammer’s cousin accused of rape in Calif.

LIVERMORE, Calif. — Police in Northern California say a cousin of rapper MC Hammer has been accused of raping a woman he met on the social-networking site Twitter.

KPIX-TV reports that 33-year-old Marvin Grant was arrested for investigation of rape Thursday in the sexual assault of a 40-year-old woman who arranged to meet him at a Livermore hotel Wednesday night.

Livermore Police Lt. Matt Sarsfield says the two developed a romantic relationship over e-mails and phone calls.

Police say Grant attacked the woman after she declined his advances.

Grant, who also is known as Marv, appears on the rapper’s reality show on the A&E cable network. The show follows the rapper and his family at his Tracy home.
