Age: 48.

Home: 1587 Shady Lane.

Education: Graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, Hiram College with a bachelor’s degree in management 1986, and University of Akron School of Law.

Employment: Partner in Williams & Apple Co. LPA and Salem councilman at-large.

Family: Wife, Suzan.

Priority: I was appointed to the position January 2009. I feel compelled to offer my experience in public service. I believe in bringing a common sense approach in trying to solve problems in this difficult economy facing the city. [There is a] Lack of funds to provide the appropriate services to the citizens of Salem.

CLYDE BROWN

Age: 71 * (D).

Home: 760 W. Wilson St.

Education: Graduate of Salem High School; attended Kent State University.

Employment: Adelphia Communications.

Family: Wife, Barbara; sons Craig and Kerry; and daughter Casey A. Jarrett.

Priority: When I campaigned I said I would listen and communicate with the people. I’ve kept my word by voting on issues before council are based on input from those that elected me.

RANDALL COLIAN

Age: 50.

Family: Wife, Nina, and children Hannah McFarland, Molly Colian, and R. Scott Colian Jr.

Education: Graduate of Salem High School (1978) and Salem Police Academy (1992)Employment: Farmer’s National Bank collections manager since 1998; former Salem police officer.

Priority: I would like to explore the availability of federal and state grants to help revitalize the city.
