Regional Chamber to unveil new program to boost business start-ups

YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber has a press conference at 2 p.m. today to announce the start of a new chamber program to assist entrepreneurs who have an idea for starting or expanding a business.

The program, funded through a U.S. Small Business Administration grant, services people in Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, Mercer and Lawrence counties.

The press conference will be at the chamber offices, 17th floor, First National Bank Tower, downtown. Tom Humphries, chamber president and chief executive officer, and James Rowlands, director of Regional Entrepreneurial Assistance Channel of the Mahoning Valley, are scheduled speakers.
