Jameson hospital warns of false callers

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Jameson Health System has issued a warning to the public about callers falsely representing themselves as employees or agents of Jameson. Hospital officials urged people to give no personal information to the caller, refuse to schedule any meeting, and gather contact information from the caller and report them to the local law enforcement authorities.

Jameson has been made aware of a caller contacting a member of the public and stating that he wished to meet with the individual to discuss changes in Medicare coverage. The contact number given by the caller was not a Jameson contact number, according to Randy Ferguson, director of public relations and marketing for Jameson. Any questions about the validity of any caller may be resolved by contacting Jameson’s risk management hotline at (724) 656-4199, Ferguson said.
