Miss Taglialavore, Mr. Shina to wed in conservatory

AUSTINTOWN — John and Toni Shina, 6981 New Road, are announcing the engagement of their son, Anthony John Shina, and Cara Rose Taglialavore, both of 5842 N.E. 75th St., Seattle, Wash.

The bride-elect is a daughter of Antoni Taglialavore of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jean Taglialavore, 108 Mallard Drive, Avon, Conn.

The couple have planned a wedding for 1 p.m. May 23 at Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus. Invitations will be extended for the ceremony and for an evening reception at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Columbus.

Miss Taglialavore graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is a registered nurse at Seattle Children’s Hospital, and will pursue a doctor of nursing practices/ pediatric nurse practitioner degree this fall at the University of Washington in Seattle.

Mr. Shina is a head chef at The Ram Restaurant/Brewery in Seattle. He graduated from OSU with a bachelor’s degree in English.
