CANFIELD

April 18

Wrongful entrustment, drugs: Police arrested an 18-year-old Austintown man on Main Street for allowing his 17-year-old girlfriend to drive his car with an expired license. The female, from Austintown, was then found to be in possession of various drugs.

April 20

Theft: A woman who lives in the 10 block of Willow Bend told police $12,000 was taken from her bank account in an incident of fraud via the Internet.

Drug paraphernalia: Police arrested an 18-year-old Salem woman at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road, for possession of a lipstick container she said was a marijuana pipe. The container had suspected marijuana residue in it.

April 20

Fraud: A woman reported for her brother, who was in jail, that his ex-girlfriend had been calling in and having his unemployment credited to his account and taking the money for at least six weeks. She also had been using his food stamp card while she continued to live at his home in the 4000 block of New Road.

Animal complaint: A woman was issued a summons for a loose dog in the 5000 block of West Webb Road.

Fraud: A resident of the 1000 block of Brockton Street reported that an unauthorized charge had been placed on his Home Savings debit card. He attempted to contact the Internet company where the charge was made but was unable to do so. The account was closed.

Fraud: A resident of the 1000 block of South Turner Road was contacted by Superior Auto Body’s secretary saying another business had called them and wanted the woman’s telephone number. The secretary instead called the woman, who checked with her Bank of America credit card company and learned that $394.34 in unauthorized charges had been made at two stores.

Theft: A man’s Vicodin prescription was picked up by two unidentified men at Rite Aid, 5498 Mahoning Ave.

Menacing: An 18-year-old woman reported that an ex-boyfriend called her cell phone and said he wanted her to return $20 she had borrowed. She stopped at the bank and took out money and went to work at Wendy’s, 5551 Interstate Blvd., where the man was waiting, followed her into the women’s restroom and threatened to punch her in the face three times.

Recovered property: A 1986 Ford Ranger pickup was recovered at the Unimart BP, 3602 Mahoning Ave.

April 21

Criminal trespassing: Police issued a man a summons for trespassing at Sheetz Gas Station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: Two all-terrain vehicles damaged the rear lawn at Davis Elementary School, 4302 Maple Ave. The two drivers were apprehended and cited for driving the ATVs on a public roadway with no registration.

Aggravated robbery: Two teenage boys entered the Shell gas station, 4200 Mahoning Ave., and one pulled a handgun on the owner/manager, who entered the cage where cash was kept and pulled the door closed. The two males fled.

Theft: $17 in gasoline was stolen from Unimart, 5502 Mahoning Ave.

Disorderly conduct: Two teenage boys were arrested on the charges at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.

April 22

Theft: A purse and its contents were stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 1000 block of Signature Drive.

Fraud: A homeowner in the 6000 block of Meander Reserve Court reported that four unauthorized charges had been made on her Homes Savings debit card in Sarasota, Fla.

Aggravated menacing: A woman in the 4000 block of Winthrop Drive reported to police her ex-boyfriend and his sister have been contacting her by telephone and text messaging, and both have threatened to harm her in phone calls.

April 23

Theft: A handgun was taken from a home in the 50 block of N. Beverly Ave.

Drug offense: Police arrested a Youngstown man on charges of possession of marijuana at Meridian Road and Mahoning Avenue after they found two small bags of marijuana in his possession.

April 24

Theft: A circular saw was stolen from an auto at Home Depot, 6100 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: $32.98 in gasoline was stolen at Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: A woman reported a cell phone taken by a boyfriend at an apartment in the 60 block of Westminster Avenue.

Auto theft: A 1997 Dodge Intrepid was taken at Chipper’s Lounge, 5 N. Edgehill Ave.

April 25

Drug offense: A Youngstown man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and cocaine at Noday’s, 3713 Oakwood Ave.

Criminal damaging: A profanity was painted on a vehicle at a home in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.

Theft: A woman is accused of taking a debit card at the Best Western Motel, 870 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Menacing by stalking: An ex-boyfriend will not stop bothering a woman in the 6000 block of Kirk Road.

April 26

Criminal damaging: Windows on a vehicle were broken and scratched at a home in the 5000 block of Nashua Drive.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at a home in the 1000 block of Bexley Drive.

Theft: A 2006 Peterbilt tractor was stolen at the Super 8 Motel, 5280 Seventy-Six Drive.

Criminal mischief: The cover over a pickup truck’s bed was painted at a home in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.

Breaking and entering: Police arrested a 19-year-old township man for breaking and entering at Davis Elementary School.

Theft: Police issued a summons to an 18-year-old Berlin woman for theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and a 12-year-old girl was released to her parents at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Menacing: Threats were made to a resident of the 900 block of Compass West apartments by telephone and text messaging.

Criminal damaging: A brick was thrown at a window of a residence in the 5000 block of Cider Mill Run.
