‘Fine-Tune’ screening to benefit CityScape

YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown CityScape will present the movie “Fine-Tune” as part of a fund-raising event Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel social hall, 343 Via Mount Carmel.

“Fine-Tune” was written and directed by Youngstown native Chris Rutushin. It was filmed in the area and includes a cast of local actors. Set in the 1970s, it follows the story of a young couple that return to the area to care for a newly widowed grandfather.

Saturday’s event will begin with a social hour at 6:30 p.m., with the movie to follow. Refreshments and a cash bar will be available, and the Rocky Chirchiglia Band will perform. Tickets are $20 and can be reserved by calling (330) 742-4040.

CityScape is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to revitalize downtown Youngstown and its gateways through beautification, education and preservation.

Westminster to present ‘Pride and Prejudice’

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. — Theatre Westminster will present Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice” Thursday through May 3 in Beeghly Theater.

Curtain time Thursday, Friday and Saturday is 7:30 p.m.; Sunday’s matinee is at 2:30 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling the box office at (724) 946-7241.

Tickets are $7 (seniors, and non-Westminster students, $5).

Exhibition features work of YSU art students

YOUNGSTOWN — The McDonough Museum of Art, on the campus of Youngstown State University, will open the Graduating BFA Show, an exhibition of work by students graduating in the spring semester from the department of art at YSU.

An opening reception for the artists will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday. The exhibit will remain on view until May 15.

The exhibition will feature the artwork of 18 students. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., with extended hours on Wednesday evenings until 8 p.m.

Cinco de Mayo event will be at B&O Station

YOUNGSTOWN — The city of Youngstown and the B&O Restaurant will present Cinco de Mayo to benefit Art Youngstown Inc. and Etruscan Press.

The event will be from 5-11 p.m. May 5 at the B&O, 530 Mahoning Ave.
