Mayor to participate in educational program

YOUNGSTOWN — Activities that promote learning and improve the lives of children are being featured as the “Week of the Young Child” is celebrated at The Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane, through Sunday.

Mayor Jay Williams will take part in the educational program by participating in a story time with children from the J’s Child Development Center at 9:30 p.m. Friday at the center’s gymnasium. A Pastries with the Parents event will follow
