Saturday’s race: The Trumbull County finished 42nd in Saturday’s Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix International Raceway. He completed 59 laps before a brake problem ended his race.

Season to date: Blaney sits in 44th place in NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series standings with 187 points. He’s 18 points behind No. 43 Joe Nemechek.
