Chamber offers reward

EAST PALESTINE — East Palestine Area Chamber of Commerce is offering a $300 reward for information leading to the conviction of those responsible for vandalizing a Chamber-owned bulldog statue last month.

The statue, which had been displayed on Market Street, was beheaded. Chamber officials said the statue is to be replaced.

The Chamber has been selling the statues to raise money to pay for the annual July 4 fireworks display at the city park. The bulldog is the city school district’s mascot. The statues are decorated and displayed throughout the city.
