‘Doctor DoLittle’ Fund-raising movie

The Humane Society of Columbiana County is offering two opportunities to see the classic children’s movie “Doctor Dolittle.”

“Songs by Two,” featuring local musicians “Piano Pete” Rukenbrod and songstress JayDee Pamer will entertain before the 7 p.m. Saturday showing and during intermission.

Dr. Len Pritchard will bring the calliope music of Pritch’s Pipes to Main Street Theater before the 2 p.m. Sunday matinee, weather permitting.

Admission is $10 per ticket and $5 for children under age 8.

Tickets are available at the office of the Humane Society of Columbiana County, 1825 S. Lincoln Ave., Salem. Tickets are also available from participating partners for the fundraiser that include the Fairfield Animal Hospital, Holloway Insurance and Invisible Fence of Eastern Ohio along with A Place for Paws, Wine Connection, Dessie Bates of Pampered Chef and Tastefully Simple, Friends Roastery, Ink and More, Gray Kodrich and Supplies Inc., Maid in America and the Encore Caf .

To help with much-needed shelter supplies such as paper towels, bleach, clay kitty litter, collars, leashes and dog toys, attendees will receive a chance to win a local merchant prize basket valued at more than $100.
