Cboss awarded OBMV contract

BOARDMAN — Cboss has been awarded a contract to develop the next generation of online vehicle registration for the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

Cboss developed Oplates, the current system, in 2000 and hosts it at its network operations center in Boardman. Last year, Oplates processed nearly one million transactions.

Cboss said it will design a new architecture for both the Oplates Web and interactive voice response applications. It said the new system will feature even greater flexibility and support for new features, services and increased traffic.

Management group sets annual conference

YOUNGSTOWN — The Western Reserve Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management will have its annual conference from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 29 at Youngstown State University.

Connie Dieken, an Emmy Award-winning reporter, will provide the keynote address. There will be breakout sessions on human resource topics and a presentation by Susan Post, eastern region director for the Society.

First Niles Financial reports earnings

NILES — First Niles Financial earned $185,000 in the first quarter, compared with $182,000 in the same quarter last year. First Niles is the holding company for Home Federal Savings and Loan Association of Niles.

Shenango Chamber announces awards
