Emergency exercise at air base Saturday

VIENNA — The Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport and the Youngstown Air Reserve Station will be conducting a joint emergency exercise beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday.

This is a tri-annual FAA requirement for commercial airports and will involve participation from the airport operations, Youngstown Air Reserve Station reservists, local responders and area hospitals. Participants will be responding to an aeronautical mass casualty scenario. The exercise is expected to last about four hours.
