Symphony Ball to be gala evening at DeYor Center

YOUNGSTOWN — DeYor Performing Arts Center has been chosen as the setting for the Symphony Ball that will take place April 25. The theme for the event will be “...’S Wonderful...’S Marvelous...’S.” Black tie or Roaring ’20s attire is suggested.
Planned as a salute to the decade of the Twenties, the evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with teacup cocktails and canap s. Gershwin songs will be performed by Gerri D’Amico & Company, and at 7:30 there will be a tasting menu with accompanying wines created by Overture Executive Chef Jeffrey Chrystal. Dancing will follow to the music of The Look.
During the dinner, Chris Roman of George Roman Auctioneers will conduct a live auction. Offered for patron consideration will be a pair of handmade Italian 18K white gold reversible pav diamond ear cuffs, valued at $5,500, donated by Smith and Co. Jewelers.
Among the items to be awarded during the evening will be a three-day, two-night New York City Getaway for two that includes air, transfers, hotel, Broadway show tickets, a Greyline tour and $500 in cash.
There will also be a silent auction featuring such items as fashions by Nanette Lepore, home accessories, concert packages, sporting event tickets, dinner at a private residence and area restaurant gift certificates.
Complimentary valet parking will be available.
