AAUW convention to focus on equity


DAYTON — Equity in the workplace and in educational settings will be the focus of the convention planned by the American Association of University Women of Ohio for May 2 and 3 at the Holiday Inn Dayton/Fairborn.

The Keynote speaker will be Dr. Karen Raminski, president of Clark Community College, whose theme will be “Leadership and Mentoring Fosters Change.”

Other sessions will cover: economic inequality during a recession, the power of negotiation, recognizing different learning styles in the workplace, training yourself to remember what you learn, the importance of public policy to women and girls, and motivations for success.
