WEDNESDAY
• Kinsman United Methodist Church Trustees will serve chicken-and-biscuit dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church, 8362 Main St., Kinsman. Tickets are $7 for adults, $3.50 for children 4 to 12, and free for those 3 and under. For takeouts call (330) 876-5641. The church is handicap accessible.
• Masury United Methodist Church will have a roast beef dinner and Chinese auction at the Brookfield Fire Hall, 774 state Route 7, Brookfield, from 4-7 p.m. The dinner will be served buffet style, and takeouts will be available. The donation is $8 for adults, $4 for ages 3 through 12, and free for children 2 and under. Tickets will be available at the door, or call the church at (330) 448-1643.
THURSDAY
• Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.
• Youngstown Police Department K-9 Unit will have a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Italian-American Veterans Centre, Meridian Road, Youngstown. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Takeouts will be available. Proceeds will benefit the care and training of the K-9 Unit. For additional information call (330) 799-2873.
FRIDAY
• American Legion Post 290, state Route 14, Columbiana, has scheduled a fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $9 per adult and $4 for children 12 and under. Meals include mac and cheese, coleslaw, fries, coffee or tea and dessert. Carryouts will be available.
• Heritage Presbyterian Church, 1951 Mathews Road, Boardman, will serve chili dinners from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Prices are as follows: $2.50 for a bowl of chili, $1 for a refill, $4 for a quart; $2 for a slice of pie, $7 for a whole pie, 50 cents for a beverage with a free refill, and $5 for a dinner of chili, Italian bread and crackers, pie and beverage.
• Spaghetti dinners will be served at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, 766 Fifth St., Struthers, from 3 to 8 p.m. as a benefit for Patty Kostik Starr. The donation for eat-in or takeout dinners will be $8 for adults, $5 for children 4 to 12 and free for those 3 and under.
SATURDAY
• Cortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St., will have a Kentucky Mountain dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Featured will be honey-baked ham, cornbread, creamed chicken on a biscuit, green beans, bean soup, sweet potato casserole, cobbler or derby pie, and beverage. Meals are $8 for adults, $4 for children 3 to 12, and free for those under 3.
• Deerfield American Legion, 1517 state Route 14, will serve breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. at the post home. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children, and the menu consists of pancakes, sausage, eggs, sausage gravy over biscuits and a beverage. Proceeds will benefit the American Legion scholarship fund.
• Greenford Lutheran Church, 7450 W. South Range Road, Greenford, will serve chicken pie dinners with seatings at 4:30 and 6 p.m. The menu includes mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, applesauce, roll, homemade pie or cake, and beverage. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children from 3 to 11. Those under 3 eat free. Carryouts available from 4 to 6.

• Capt. Charles M. Marino Post 3, Italian-American War Veterans, 113 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, will serve spaghetti dinners from noon to 5 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children 6 to 10. Those under 6 may eat for free. • Franciscan Friars Shrine of Our Lady, 517 S. Belle Vista Ave., will be the site of a Chaney Baseball spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost for adults is $6, and for children under 10, $3.50.
• Ellsworth Fire Department will host an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fire hall on state Route 45 in Ellsworth. There will be a Chinese auction, and child identification kits will be available. Children must be accompanied by a parent.
• First Christian Church, 140 E. Broadway Ave., Girard, will serve pasta dinners from noon to 3 p.m. Dinners are $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and younger. Carryouts available. Music will be by the band Swing Time. For information call (330) 545-6130.
• Fowler Volunteer Fire Department will have its monthly pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fire station, state Route 193. Prices are $6 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and children 6 to 12, and free for preschoolers.
• Sacred Heart of Jesus, 702 Cameron Ave., will serve Swiss steak dinners from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the parish hall. Meals include gravy, potatoes, vegetable, salad, coffee or tea, and assorted desserts. The donation is $8 for adults and $4 for children 6 to 12. Those under 6 are free. • Southington American Legion Post 751 will serve breakfasts of sausage and pancakes (all-you-can-eat pancakes), or biscuits and gravy, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the post, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, Southington. The donation is $5.50 for adults and $3 for children from 5 to 12. Those 4 and under eat free. This is the final pancake breakfast for 2009.
• Sulmona Valley Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor a polenta, pasta, sausage, salad and dessert dinner from noon to 4 p.m. at the club rooms, 92 S. Bridge St., Struthers. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Other refreshments and takeouts will be available, and there will be a 50-50 raffle.
• Ursuline High School, 750 Wick Ave., will be the setting for a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the cafeteria as a benefit for the Jimmy Herubin Scholarship. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3.50 for children 3-12 at the door. Those under 3 eat free.
• VFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve breakfasts of eggs, sausage or ham, hash browns, pancakes, freedom toast, toast, and coffee or tea from 8 a.m. to noon. Meals are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

Dinners are $6.50 for adults and $4.50 for children 12 and under. There will also be a Chinese auction with drawings beginning at 1:30. Auction tickets will be sold after Mass on Sunday and April 26. They are 3 for $1 or 20 for $5. Winners do not need to be present.
