Health-care reform rally set Friday

YOUNGSTOWN — Anyone interested in health-care reform is encouraged to attend a rally at 10:15 a.m. Friday at Forest Hill Presbyterian Church in Cleveland Heights.

The Mahoning Valley Organizing Collaborative, in partnership with 30 other statewide groups, is hosting the appearance of U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, for the rally.

Fifty community leaders and residents from the Valley plan to participate.

The MVOC is a broad-based community organizing initiative that focuses on uniting groups throughout the area to increase the quality of life in the Valley’s urban neighborhoods.

The group will provide free transportation on a first-come, first-served basis. The bus to Cleveland will leave at 8:15 a.m. from the MVOC office, 22 W. Wood St., Youngstown.
